Life Groups

What is a Life Group?

The purpose of MRBC Life Groups is to be a small loving community of individuals learning to follow Jesus fully and help others do the same.

We believe that the Christian life was never meant to be solitary! We need each other for support, friendship, and spiritual nurturing. MRBC life groups are all about taking care of each other as we discover together how to live out God’s love. In fact, we grow closer together as we grow closer to God!

Types of Groups

Our groups vary from mixed, intergenerational groups that get together to study God’s Word, to groups that have a common link such as age, gender, life stage, or other affinity. Some of the specific affinity groups include Young Adults, Seniors, Young Marrieds, Women’s and Men’s groups, and the list goes on!

Groups normally meet once a week in one of their group member’s homes, and vary in size from about six people to twenty! Some meet for a pre-set time, like a 12-week video series, while others stay together for years. No matter what the size or shape, it’s hard to describe the sense of community, and of family, one experiences in a small group. It’s a place to be real, to share honestly and openly, and to encourage each other to become more and more like Jesus.

Getting Connected!

If you are not already involved in a Life Group, you need to be! We would be happy to recommend a group that we feel would meet your needs. There are also several other ways to get connected with our Life Group Ministry. Ministry opportunities are available in a number of areas. Individuals can apply to be a Life Group Leader or Apprentice Leader, facilitating a specific Life Group. Individuals can also serve as coaches, assisting and equipping Life Group Leaders with leadership skills.

Get connected by calling the church office today or send an email to Don, our Pastor of Family Ministries.
